Layanan transportasi Fast boat Bali – Lombok Sangat reguler beroperasi sejak tahun 2010, bahkan keberadaan unit kapal cepat ini masih dianggap kurang waktu itu, hingga harga tiketnya pun menggila, hanya wisatawan tertentu yang mau menggunakannya. Sebelum kita bicara jauh mengenai fast boat ini saya akan sedikit mengulas sejarah perkembangannya hingga saat ini sepi karena terdampak wabah Covid-19.

Ok, kita bicara tentang perkembangan transportasi fast boat di pulau 3 Gili yang sekarang dikenal dengan sebutan Gili ATM (Gili Air, Gili Trawangan dan Gili Meno). Gampang diingat kan ? kata ATM sangat melekat pada setiap insan terutama jika mereka adalah para pebisnis.

Perkembangan wisata 3 Gili dimulai dari Gili Air dulu yang lebih populer, di mana Gili Trawangan dan Gili Meno masih merupakan daerah persinggahan para nelayan yang hijau rimbun terlihat dari jauh, karena 3 Gili dulunya terdapat banyak tumbuhan pohon cemara.

Jujur saja saat itu saya belum sempat melihat keadaan itu, karena memang untuk menuju lokasi itu tidak jelas keberadaan transportasinya, saya datang pertama kali ke Gili Trawangan tahun 1998 setelah ada beberapa bangunan hotel tapi pohon cemara masih banyak yang mendominasi daratan Gili Trawangan.

Saya datang menyeberang ke Gili Trawangan dengan menggunakan perahu kecil yang berkapasitas maksimal 12 orang penumpang, menggunakan motor 10 PK. Silah kan bayangkan jika musim angin, yang pasti ombaknya besar. Lama penyeberangan jika cuaca normal sekitar 1 jam perjalanan. Jika musim angin ombak akan sangat tinggi, penyeberangan bisa dibatalkan.

Saat itu belum pernah ada cerita penumpang tidak basah dalam perjalanan penyeberangan ke 3 Gili, ke Gili mana pun. Penumpang wajib basah kuyuh, terkecuali jika menyeberang pagi hari sekitar jam 06:00 am, belum ada ombak.

Seiring waktu, intensitas pariwisata semakin ramai. Boat penyeberangan dari pelabuhan Bangsal menuju 3 Gili semakin ramai. Sekitar tahun 2004 ukurannya lebih besar hingga berkapasitas maksimal 40 penumpang. Sampai akhir tahun 2010 boat penyeberangan berubah menjadi lebih besar lagi berkapasitas 80 penumpang dan di awal tahun 2013 atas inisiatif para pemilik boat yang punya ijin penyeberangan ke 3 Gili mengubah sendiri ukurannya hingga mampu menampung penumpang sampai 150 orang.

Sampai saat ini pihak pelabuhan akan mengizinkan kapasitas maksimal hanya 60 penumpang saja, meskipun boat dibuat sebesar mungkin, karena ini alasan keamanan dan ketentuan trayek, untuk menghindari monopoli perolehan penumpang yang harga tiketnya saat ini Rp 23,000 / orang.

Dari pelabuhan Bangsal menuju 3 Gili, di tahun 2013 dioperasikan lagi oleh pihak perhubungan fast boat reguler penyeberangan 5 x sehari menuju 3 Gili dengan harga tiket 85.000 / orang. Jadwal pemberangkatan sudah ditentukan, kapasitas penumpang sekitar 30 penumpang, ada juga yang berkapasitas 60 penumpang. Jika penumpang cuma ada 2 orang saja fast boat harus tetap berangkat sesuai jadwal.

Di atas sekilas kita sudah membahas tentang transportasi penyeberangan publik boat dari pelabuhan Bangsal menuju 3 Gili ATM. Tinggal atapnya, waktu mau beli bahan atap seng tidak bisa ke beli karena harganya jadi 3 kali lipat sampai akhirnya kandang ayam itu bertahun-tahun rusak tidak pernah sampai punya atap.

Pekerjaan sulit, boro-boro dapat pekerjaan, yang sudah kerja saja banyak yang kena PHK (Putus Hubungan Kerja) tapi pariwisata sangat jaya, setiap wisatawan asing yang datang berwisata ke Indonesia khususnya pulau Lombok semuanya jadi royal. Nilai tukar dolar jadi tinggi, walaupun si bule sudah kita kasi harga mahal masih saja bilang murah, yah pasti Anda sudah tau kenapa ?

Layanan kapal cepat yang pertama kali muncul di Lombok dulu ada namanya “Mabua Express. Fast boat ini rutenya Bali – Lombok atau pelabuhan Padang Bai (Bali) – pelabuhan Lembar (Lombok). Perusahaan ini mengoperasikan 2 Fast boat dengan kapasitas sekitar 20 penumpang. Tak lama, hanya beberapa bulan fast boat ini tidak nongol lagi.

Masih di tahun yang sama muncul lagi fast boat bernama Kencana Jaya, menggantikan Mabua Express, fast boat ini lebih ramping tapi bentuknya lebih panjang, kapasitasnya tak jauh beda dengan pelabuhan yang sama, jumlah armada ini cuma 1 unit saja. Tak jarang penumpang yang kapok menggunakan fast boat ini, karena rata-rata penumpang mabuk laut.
