Lombok is a very small island consisting of 4 districts, West Lombok Regency, Central Lombok Regency, East Lombok Regency, North Lombok Regency and 1 City of Mataram, NTB Province, smaller than Bali with a population that is not too crowded. It is estimated that only 4 million people inhabit this island.
Only 80% smaller than Bali, Lombok Island has tourist locations that are very close to each other. I have written a lot of interesting places on Lombok Island that you can get to know more closely through the Gerbang Wisata Blog Post that myself wrote on this page.
1. Pink Beach in East Lombok Regency
This place can be accessed via 2 routes, namely land and sea routes or by boat trip. On the way to the location, to be honest, there are not many interesting things to see.
After arriving at the location, this place immediately soothes the heart on the boat trip we will pass many small islands Gili Marengke, Pasir Island, Gili Kambing and Gili Petelu, 3 of which are located close together.
If you want to go to this place, you can go by land or by a boat trip through Tanjung Luar port which is a fish market, vehicles can be parked here then take a boat trip to the pink beach location.
2. Gili Kondo in East Lombok Regency
This island is part of an archipelago that is close to other islands including Gili Kondo, Gili Kapal, Gili Bidara and far to the north there are Gili Lampu and Gili Petagan. If we start this trip from the direction of Mataram or Senggigi city, there are not too many interesting things on the way.
Except before arriving at Pasir Putih harbor, you can stop by the ancient tree “Lian Langka” which has a diameter as big as a subsidized house. This location is quite instagrammable for a photo location.

3. Gili Nanggu in West Lombok Regency
This place is very beautiful, very popular with European visitors, most tourists from Italy, France, the Netherlands and others. If you visit Gili Nanggu, it means you can also visit other Gili that are lined up nearby.
There are 4 Gili lined up from north to south, namely: Gili Nanggu, Gili Tangkong, Gili Sudak and Gili Kedis which is very small in size. Kedis (meaning small)
Gili Nanggu is the main visiting location, here is where foreigners sunbathe and snorkel. Gili Sudak has a seafood restaurant which is usually for tourists who take a trip package, this is where they have lunch or at a floating restaurant near Gili Kedis.

4. Gili Layar in West Lombok Regency
Traveling to this place will be very enjoyable on the way, we will explore the beautiful Sekotong beach along the beach. It seems like we just want to get off the vehicle to take pictures.
You will start the core of your goal to visit Gili Layar Island through Tembowong port, around Gili Layar there are many Gilis, including; Gili Gede (the largest and most striking), Gili Rengit, Gili Anyaran, Gili Asahan and Gili Goleng.

5. Gili Trawangan Interesting Places in North Lombok Regency
Gili Trawangan Island is a interesting destination on the island of Lombok, there are many hotels, bungalows or lodgings for backpackers. Very crowded with foreign tourists, almost 85% according to my estimate who has worked in Gili Trawangan for 5 years.
Very supported by transportation facilities using fast boats on the Bali – Lombok route, Speed boats from Teluk Nara port, Teluk Kodek port and Public wooden boats from Bangsal to Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air.

6. Kuta Mandalika Beach in Central Lombok Regency
This location has become a national priority to be promoted by the government, becoming a foreign tourist destination. Of course, to the location of the world motorcycle racing event. The Moto GP circuit was built here. In the past, this location was only known as Kuta Lombok Beach to emphasize that Kuta Beach is not only in Bali.
The beach is very beautiful and enchanting, this area includes several beach locations that were previously visited by many tourists which are now united into a “Special Economic Zone” zone including Tanjung Aan Beach, Bukit Merese, Seger Beach and of course Kuta Mandalika Beach itself. This place is very beautiful especially during the rainy season, the atmosphere at the location becomes green and shady.

7. Lingkoq Datu Cliff in East Lombok Regency
This cliff is very beautiful for photography when people are standing on the edge of the cliff. Lingkoq Datu, actually the name refers to 7 wells that are considered sacred near the cliff. “Lingkok” means well and Datu means “government” or village rules maybe that’s what it means. The name of the beach is Penyisok beach.
In my opinion, the well is only a well for taking drinking water for buffalo livestock which is considered sacred by the locals. This location is not too far from Ekas beach and one way to the location of Pink Beach Lombok.

8. Sekotong Beach in West Lombok Regency
This beach is not very popular among domestic tourists, a very beautiful beach but unfortunately there are not many accommodations that support it. Sekotong Beach is the gateway to several Gili in the waters of Sekotong.
The beach here is not very wide, there are only a few points. If you drive here you will really feel the pleasure of being blown by the wind through the very beautiful beach. This place is perfect for bikers who like to ride motorbikes to enjoy their way of life.
Along the way to Bangko-bangko, this beach is really beautiful, almost 100% white sand. From Pelangan village, turn left and you will go to Mekaki beach, here you will see a biker monument or monument. I have been here very often but recently got information that there is now a Biker monument.
Continue driving east, the terrain has changed. Previously you were driving on the edge of the beach, now you are driving on a steep hill with a view of the beach, of course, it is smoothly paved because this road is only 7 years old from now. 9. Tiu Kelep Waterfall in North Lombok Regency
This is the most beautiful waterfall on the island of Lombok, Tiu Kelep is often used as an icon for bottled water promotions that display video clips of the Tiu Kelep waterfall. The location is in Senaru village which is the gateway to climbing Mount Rinjani.
The location is below the valley, so we have to go down the stairs until we find the Sendang Gile waterfall first, you go up another 20 meters to continue the journey to Tiu Kelep through the forest and river connected to the Tiu Kelep waterfall.

10. Benang Kelambu Waterfall in Central Lombok Regency
The location of this waterfall is geographically in the middle of Lombok Island, located on the southern slopes of Mount Rinjani, access to the Benang Kelambu location will cross the provincial road. After arriving at Pancor Dao village, the journey to Aik Berik village (the location of the waterfall) will cross the countryside.

11. Tiu Sekeper Waterfall in North Lombok Regency
This waterfall is the highest in Lombok, it is difficult to photograph the Tiu Sekeper waterfall slide in its entirety because it is so high. From the parking lot to the location, the journey takes 2.5 hours – 3 hours (one way) along the plantation owned by the villagers, there is only one dangerous point to the location. So be careful.
If you like hiking or hash this is perfect for you. The location is in Santong village, from the one-way parking lot you will find a twin waterfall called “Tiu Teja” only 30 minutes walk from the parking lot.

12. Tetebatu Village in East Lombok Regency
This village is a village located at the foot of Mount Rinjani, Tetebatu village is the same as Ubud village in Bali, of course not the same but similar and accommodation facilities will never be the same as Ubud village in Bali.
For those who like natural panoramas and like hiking, I recommend this place. We can see the beauty of Mount Rinjani when the weather is sunny and the activities of local residents farming in the fields.

13. Selong Belanak Beach in Central Lombok Regency

This place is the most beautiful beach of the beaches I have mentioned. 14. Ekas Beach in East Lombok Regency
This beach is dominated by cliffs that keep the land from being eroded by waves. The waves on Ekas beach are very popular with surfers and have become a hot spot for surfing points that recently went viral, a regent of East Lombok intervened to ward off surfers from outside East Lombok district.

15. Semeti Beach in Central Lombok Regency
The location of this beach is in Selong Belanak village, which means it is not far from Selong Belanak beach, which I mentioned as the most beautiful beach on Lombok Island. Nearby is Mawi beach, which is also very beautiful and is a target location for surfers. Many foreigners who stay at Kuta beach come to Mawi beach using motorbikes and bringing surfboards.
We focus on discussing Semeti beach, which is a steep rocky beach that when seen from a distance looks like Prambanan temple on Java Island. The waves hit the rocks very hard, so many rocks are cracked by the waves. There have been several victims on Semeti beach who slipped and were hit by the waves.
16. Mangku Sakti Waterfall in East Lombok Regency
This waterfall is a continuation of the waterfall slide from Segara Anak Lake, Mount Rinjani, if you have ever climbed Rinjani via the Torean route, the river becomes the “Mangku Sakti” waterfall slide which then becomes the next waterfall until it reaches Kokok Putek (Kali Putih).
To get to the location from the asphalt road in Sajang village via a dirt road and crossing the plantation for 1.5 hours and will arrive at the location of this waterfall, you can rent a motorbike taxi to the parking lot then go down to the river on foot for 15 minutes to arrive at the Mangku Sakti waterfall and nearby there is also the Mangku Kodek slide which is good for taking pictures.

17. Pergasingan Hill in East Lombok Regency
This hill is one of those surrounding the Sembalun Valley, the best place compared to other hills, namely: Dan Daun Hill, Anak Dara Hill, Nanggi Hill, Kondo Hill, Pal Japan Hill and Pergasingan Hill is the best of all the climbing destinations.
Ideally, you should camp on Pergasingan Hill, so you can enjoy your hiking trip. Usually after lunch, you can climb Pergasingan Hill, it is estimated that you will arrive between 5 – 6 pm.

18. Pemedengan Hill in East Lombok Regency
This hill is located in Sajang Village, behind the Sajang Village village. Here it is the same as camping on Pergasingan hill, the version without climbing. If anyone wants to go to Pergasingan hill but is no longer able to climb, I suggest going to Pemedengan hill camping side.
It’s more fun here, toilets and clean water are very easy to get, the night is not too cold, the air is cool. Every cloud and fog is parted, the view of Mount Rinjani is also very beautiful from here.
In front there is a valley and on the right side you can see the coastline, if you have arrived here tomorrow you can continue your journey to Gili Kondo to get a different atmosphere. 19. Kenawa Island in West Sumbawa Regency
Although this island is not part of the Lombok island area, Kenawa Island is very important for us to make a tourist destination because of its beauty and makes it fun to visit.
You plan to come here from the city of Mataram or anywhere, go directly to Kayangan port in East Lombok. It’s best to just plan to start the trip at 6 am. Try to arrive at the port at 8 am, cross 2 hours to Poto Tano port on Sumbawa island, arrive at 10 am and cross 10 minutes to Kenawa island.
Hiking and snorkeling activities on Kenawa island, then visit Paserang island in the surrounding area and if possible visit other islands. 20. Mount Rinjani Located in All Regencies
This mountain is the second highest volcano after Mount Kerinci on the island of Sumatra which is still active with mild eruptions in the last decade. It is the Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) and has been upgraded to a Geo Park or a world climbing tourist destination.
It is located in the middle of Lombok Island and is more inclined to the north, meaning that this mountain can be accessed through all regencies in Lombok.
